Following reproducible-builds.org recommendations, using compiler flags like -ffile-prefix-map or -fdebug-prefix-map allows replace build-time paths by install-time ones in the debugging sections of binaries. Variable DEBUG_PREFIX_MAP set these flags correctly in yocto build context to guarantee reproducible builds.
